Veterinarians

Michelle A Stallions , DVM

Dr. Stallions was born in Oak Ridge, TN. Later she and her family moved to Alabama, where she attended John C. Calhoun State Community College where she received an Associates in Science Degree in 1986. Then she attended Auburn University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991.

Dr. Stallions is the owner of Green Cove Animal Hospital and has been practicing veterinary medicine at this facility since 1992. Her special interests are dentistry, feline medicine, and alternative, complimentary medicine.

Dr. Stallions frequently speaks to schools and civic organizations about veterinary medicine and pet related topics. Outside of work, she spends time with her family and enjoys gardening, photography, and other artsy endeavors. Dr. Stallions is very passionate about veterinary medicine, her Alma Mater-Auburn University, and her country USA. Carpe diem- seize the day.

Cynthia A Bayless , DVM

Also a graduate of Auburn University, she first attended the University of Kentucky and received a BA Degree in Chemistry and then received a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She was born and raised in Middlesboro, a small town in southeastern Kentucky and of course she was brought up playing basketball in the backyard.

She first came to Green Cove Springs in 1999 to complete her preceptorship (intern) at GCAH. Then she went to work in a small town outside of Athens, GA, where she not only practiced on small animals but also large animals. After a year, she decided to return to Green Cove Animal Hospital. She has been here since 2000. Her special interests are ophthalmology, internal medicine and surgery and emergency medicine. She spends her free time with her family. Dr. Bayless is currently Volunteering her veterinary services at Clay County Animal Control.

Technician Staff

Tara

Tara has been a part of the Green Cove Animal staff since August 1998. She started here as a receptionist, but now she is also a trained technician. Tara is the mother of three children, and is also the proud owner of three dogs and three cats. She is interested in continuing her education to become a certified technician. Tara graduated from Clay High School and is a native to Green Cove Springs.

Ashley

Ashley has been a fundamental part of the Green Cove Animal staff since August 2005. Ashley appreciates nature and enjoys outdoor activities. She also loves animals of course, and owns three cats, two dogs, various snakes, and a frog. Ashley loves spending time with furry animals, but has a special interest in reptiles.

Christine

Christine has been working for Green Cove Animal Hospital since August of 2009. She graduated from Middleburg High School June 2010. She was president of student council and took AP and dual enrollment classes at SJRCC. She is currently attending UNF majoring in Biomedics and minoring in art. After acheiving an associates degree she will transfer to UF's college of veterinary medicine to further pursue her aspirations of becoming a veterinarian.

Cindy

Cindy previously worked with us at Green Cove Animal Hospital as a Receptionist for 8 years. She moved to Illinois for 3 years and has now rejoined our team cross-trained as a Technician. Cindy loves walking, hiking and being outdoors in nature. Proud owner of one cat and one dog, Cindy's care and compassion for our fuzzy friends shows in the love of her job.

Receptionists

Abbie

Abbie joined our staff in September 2010 as a Receptionist and is cross training to become a technician. Originally from Pennsylvania, she has been in Clay County for 19 years. She has 2 children and a proud owner of 6 pets ( 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 gerbils.)

Jessica

Jessica joined the Green Cove Animal staff in August 2007 as a receptionist. She brings with her six years of customer service experience. Jessica attended St. John’s River Community College for 2 years to study radiology. Jessica loves animals and has one dog of her own. On her time off she enjoys four wheeling and jet skiing.
